Manutan International: Philippe Mallard appointed Managing Director of the Local Authorities Division

Gonesse, March 10, 2022 – Manutan, one of the European leaders in B2B e-commerce specializing in the distribution of equipment and supplies to businesses and local authorities, has appointed Philippe Mallard Managing Director of the Group’s Local Authorities Division.

After get a Salesforce degree, Philippe Mallard started his first 4 years of his career as regional sales manager Nantes company specializing in sports equipment for communities.

In 1996, he joined Casal Sport. During his 18 years at Casal Sport, he held various positions such as Director of the Pays de la Loire Agency, Head of Agency Network and finally Sales and Marketing Director of the brand.
Philippe Mallard, then in charge of structuring the company, participated in the development and deployment of the overall strategic approach. He achieved the goals of Casal Sport in contribute to the strong growth of its turnover.

In 2012when Casal Sport was acquired by Manutan, he became deputy director then general manager of another subsidiary of the group: Manutan Communities. His goal was to disseminate the company’s vision and develop its strategy. He oversaw the implementation of the strategy, supporting performance and sustainable development with stakeholders.

A wealth of experience for the benefit of the Manutan group!

With over 30 years of experiencein the B2B sector in the local authority market and an excellent knowledge of the Group, Philippe Mallardis now appointed Managing Director of the Local Authorities Department.

This division brings together three leading brands in their markets: Manutan Communities (specialist in furniture and equipment for the development of interior and exterior spaces), Pichon Paper Mills (specialist in school supplies and DIY) and Casal Sports (sports equipment specialist).

My main role is to strengthen the leadership of the brands of the Territorial Communities Division and develop in Europe with a concern for social utility contributing to “Learn well” next to education actorsin order to promote the development of each.

Philippe Mallard is supported by a team of more than 500 employees to help him fulfill his new responsibilities.

Its role essentially consists of:

  • Stimulate team involvement, alignment of practices and consistency of the roadmap;
  • Monitors and seizes market and growth opportunities;
  • Innovate constantly to help customers succeed in their goals.

Philippe Mallard now report to Pierre-Olivier Brial, Deputy Managing Director of the Manutan group.
